The WORLD CARNIVAL COMMISSION (WCC) is a global organizing body that seeks to develop, enhance and promote Trini-style carnivals throughout the world and to embrace other carnivals having to do with true international brotherhood and based on mutual recognition and respect.

Our mission is to assist carnivals in capacity building, management and organizational development, and promoting a shared and common vision of a modern 21^st century carnival product that brings back financial benefits to the communities and countries in which they operate.

We will work with all carnival-producing entities that includes, but not limited to, carnival band leaders and organizations, organizers, steelband organizations, management groups, businesses and corporations, governments and other stakeholders in a harmonious, respectful and united manner aimed at furthering a positive international image and recognition of carnival.

What We Offer WCC Members

• Capacity building – human resource development, training and organizing
• Carnival production training (making mas)
• Carnival production training (management and organizational techniques)
• Carnival judges training
• Assist members in creation of international collaborations and exchanges
• Structure and project analysis (we will go into the carnivals and look at them from all angles and then present the organization(s) with a report of strengths, weaknesses and our recommendations for improvement etc.)
• Help in  dealing with local governments and authorities
• Assistance in organizing carnival conferences, reunions and symposiums
• Marketing of carnivals to boost numbers (outside of home area)
• Carnival Certification – This “carnival training school” will be held twice (2) times a year and will have  three (3) levels: Level 1 – Carnival and Carnival Management, Level II – the Business of Carnival and Level III – Carnival Growth and Development in the 21^st Century
• WCC representation in dispute and conflict management and resolution in carnival organizations
